Labour Compliance The Government of Puducherry on March 23, 2026, issued the notification regarding holiday on April 09, 2026 due to General Elections.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Thursday, April 09, 2026, shall be declared as Public Holiday/Paid Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881

• This is applicable to all Government Offices/Institutions/Local Bodies/Commercial and Industrial Establishments located in the Union Territory of Puducherry.
